Sunday, January 1, 2012 Today Virgin Money finalised a deal with the British Government to acquire the nationalised Newcastle upon Tyne-based bank Northern Rock for £747 million. During 2012, the bank will be rebranded as a Virgin company and the current Northern Rock customers will become customers of the enlarged Virgin Money. Monday, January 30, 2006 Yesterday, Hamas leader Mahmoud al-Zahar responded to Wolf Blitzer‘s questions with accusations that Israel is dedicated to establishing a state covering all land between the Nile and the Euphrates rivers.
