Rescue attempts continue for Tasmanian miners
Thursday, May 4, 2006 Rescuers are continuing their efforts to reach the trapped miners in the Beaconsfield mine in northern Tasmania. A five tonne borer drilling machine has been secured in place to drill a one metre hole through the remaining 12-16 metres of rock that fell into the main shaft.
